Neuroplasticity & Brain-Body Connection
Neural Wiring Through Repetition (p. 55):
Highlight 1 - Page 55
The more you repeat a thought, choice, behavior, experience, or emotion, the more those neurons fire and wire together and the more they will sustain a long-term relationship.
- When you do the same things over and over, your brain builds stronger connections
- Each time you repeat a thought, feeling, or action, the brain cells involved connect more tightly
- The more you repeat something, the more automatic it becomes
- Your brain physically changes based on what you repeatedly do
- This is why habits are so hard to break
- The brain creates highways for familiar patterns
- To change, you have to consciously choose new thoughts and actions even when it feels uncomfortable
State of Being Anchored in the Past (p. 55):
Highlight 2 - Page 55
If thoughts are the vocabulary of the brain and feelings are the vocabulary of the body, and the cycle of how you think and feel becomes your state of being, then your entire state of being is in the past.
- Your thoughts and feelings work together to create who you are right now
- Your brain creates thoughts
- Your body creates feelings
- The way you think and feel becomes your personality and life experience
- Most people are stuck living the same life over and over
- You think the same thoughts that make you feel the same emotions
- Those same emotions make you think the same thoughts again
- This keeps you trapped in the same patterns, recreating your past
- To change your life, you need to think new thoughts even when your body wants the old feelings
- Your body is addicted to familiar emotions from past experiences
- You have to consciously choose different thoughts to break the cycle
Learning Changes Your Brain (p. 54):
Highlight 3 - Page 54
For the most part, your brain is a product of the past. It has been shaped and molded to become a living record of everything you have learned and experienced up to this point in your life. Learning, from a neuroscientific standpoint, is when neurons in your brain assemble to form thousands of synaptic connections and those connections then assemble into complex, three-dimensional neurological networks. Think of learning as your brain getting an upgrade.
- Your brain is basically a recording of your past experiences
- Everything you’ve learned and experienced is stored as brain connections
- Your current brain structure reflects all your past learning
- Learning literally changes your brain’s physical structure
- When you learn something new, brain cells connect to each other
- These connections form networks that store the new information
- Each time you learn, your brain gets a physical “upgrade”
- This means you can change your brain by learning new things
- Your brain isn’t fixed - it can be rewired throughout your life
- New experiences create new brain networks
Emotions Are Chemical Records of the Past (p. 32):
Highlight 4 - Page 32
Emotions are the chemical consequences (or feedback) of past experiences. As our senses record incoming information from the environment, clusters of neurons organize into networks. When they freeze into a pattern, the brain makes a chemical that is then sent throughout the body. That chemical is called an emotion.
- Emotions are basically chemicals your brain makes based on past experiences
- When something happens to you, your senses pick up information
- Your brain processes this information and creates chemical signals
- These chemicals travel through your body and become what we call emotions
- Your brain stores patterns from past experiences
- Similar experiences create similar brain patterns
- When you encounter something familiar, your brain automatically makes the same chemicals
- This is why certain situations trigger predictable emotional responses
- Emotions are your body’s way of remembering the past
- Strong emotions help you remember experiences better
- Your body recreates past emotional states when triggered by familiar situations
Electromagnetic Field of Thoughts and Feelings (p. 58):
Highlight 5 - Page 58
When we think a thought, those networks of neurons that fire in our brain create electrical charges. When those thoughts also cause a chemical reaction that results in a feeling or an emotion, as well as when a familiar feeling or emotion is driving our thoughts, those feelings create magnetic charges. They merge with the thoughts that create the electric charges to produce a specific electromagnetic field equal to your state of being.
- Your thoughts and feelings create electrical and magnetic energy
- When you think, your brain creates electrical activity
- When you feel emotions, your body creates magnetic energy
- These two types of energy combine to create an electromagnetic field around you
- Your energy field reflects your inner state
- The combination of your thoughts and feelings creates a unique energy signature
- This energy field is basically broadcasting who you are to the world
- Different thoughts and emotions create different energy patterns
- You’re constantly sending out energy signals
- Your electromagnetic field extends beyond your physical body
- This field influences how you interact with your environment and other people
Attention Equals Energy in the Past (p. 59):
Highlight 6 - Page 59
If where you place your attention is where you place your energy (a key concept you’ll read more about later in this chapter), then the moment you place your attention on a familiar emotion, your attention and your energy are in the past. If those familiar emotions are connected to a memory of some past event involving a person or an object at a particular place and time, then your attention and your energy are in the past as well.
- Whatever you focus on is where your energy goes
- Your attention acts like a spotlight that directs your life energy
- When you think about familiar emotions, you’re putting energy into the past
- Familiar emotions keep you stuck in old experiences
- When you feel the same emotions over and over, you’re reliving past events
- Your energy gets trapped in memories instead of being available for creating something new
- To create a new future, you need to stop feeding energy to the past
- Stop dwelling on familiar emotions from past experiences
- Direct your attention and energy toward what you want to create instead
Memory Strengthened by Emotion (p. 55):
Highlight 7 - Page 55
The stronger the emotional quotient from an event in your life, the more the experience leaves a lasting impression in your brain; that’s how long-term memories are formed.
- Strong emotions create strong memories
- The more emotional charge an experience has, the more deeply it gets imprinted in your brain
- This is why you remember traumatic or highly joyful events so vividly
- Your brain uses emotion as a way to mark important experiences
- Emotional intensity determines memory strength
- Events with little emotional impact are easily forgotten
- Events with high emotional impact become permanent memories
- This is an evolutionary mechanism to help you remember important survival information
- You can use this principle to create positive change
- By adding strong positive emotions to your desired future, you can make it feel more real
- The more emotionally invested you become in your vision, the more your brain treats it as important
- This helps you remember and work toward your goals more effectively
- Past emotional memories can keep you stuck
- Strong negative emotions from the past create powerful neural networks
- These networks get triggered by similar situations, recreating the past emotional state
- To change, you need to create new emotional memories that are stronger than the old ones
Heart Coherence & Emotional States
The Heart as Center of Unity Consciousness (p. 27):
Highlight 1 - Page 27
The brain thinks, but the heart knows. This is the center of oneness, wholeness, and unity consciousness. It is where opposites meet, representing the union of polarities. Think of this center as your connection to the unified field. When it is activated, you go from selfish states to selfless states. When you can maintain internal states independent of conditions in your external environment, you are mastering your environment.
- Your heart and brain work in completely different ways
- Your brain figures things out by thinking and analyzing
- Your heart just “knows” things without having to think about them
- The heart is where opposite things come together and become one
- The heart connects you to a bigger field of energy and consciousness
- When your heart is activated, you stop being selfish and start caring about others
- It’s like tuning into a radio station that connects you to everything
- When you can feel good inside no matter what’s happening outside, you become powerful
- Most people let outside events control how they feel inside
- But if you can keep your heart open and feel good regardless of circumstances, you master your environment
- This takes practice but gives you real freedom
The Heart as Bridge Between Worlds (p. 149):
Highlight 2 - Page 149
The heart, located right behind the breastbone, is the body’s fourth energy center. It is our bridge to greater levels of awareness and energy, as well as the center where our divinity begins. The heart is the intersection of our lower three energy centers (associated with our earthly body) and our upper three energy centers (associated with our higher self).
- The heart is like a bridge in your energy system
- It sits in the middle of your seven energy centers
- Below the heart are three centers connected to your physical, earthly needs
- Above the heart are three centers connected to your spiritual, higher self
- The heart connects your human side with your divine side
- It’s where your everyday personality meets your soul
- This is why heart-centered emotions feel so powerful and transformative
- When your heart center is activated, you can access higher levels of consciousness
- The heart acts as a gateway to expanded awareness
- It allows you to tap into energy and information beyond the physical world
Heart Intelligence vs Brain Thinking (p. 149):
Highlight 3 - Page 149
The flow of awareness and insight that we experience once the mind and emotions are brought into balance and coherence through a self-initiated process. This form of intelligence is experienced as direct, intuitive knowing that manifests in thought and emotions that are beneficial for ourselves and others.
- Heart intelligence is different from regular thinking
- It happens when your mind and emotions work together in harmony
- You have to consciously create this balanced state - it doesn’t happen automatically
- Heart intelligence gives you direct knowing without having to figure things out
- You just “know” things without having to think through all the details
- This knowing comes as insights that help both you and other people
- This type of intelligence creates thoughts and feelings that are helpful and positive
- Unlike regular thinking which can be negative or self-centered
- Heart intelligence naturally leads to beneficial outcomes for everyone involved
The Heart Beats Independently (p. 152):
Highlight 4 - Page 152
While this is partly true, the heart is an autorhythmic organ, which means the heartbeat is self-initiated from within the heart, not from the brain. For example, it’s a known fact that in all kinds of species the heart can be removed from the body and placed in a salt solution called Ringer’s solution, where it will continue to beat for extended periods of time—independent of any neurological connection to the brain.
- Your heart doesn’t need your brain to tell it to beat
- The heart has its own internal rhythm that starts from within the heart itself
- This is different from most organs that need signals from the brain to function
- Scientists can prove the heart’s independence
- If you remove a heart from the body and put it in a special salt solution, it keeps beating
- This shows the heart has its own intelligence and doesn’t depend on brain signals
- The heart developed before the brain in human development
- In a growing baby, the heart starts beating before the brain even forms
- This suggests the heart has a primary role in organizing life energy
Heart Rate Variability Reveals Emotions (p. 153):
Highlight 5 - Page 153
Today, with about 75 percent accuracy, science can predict what someone is feeling just by looking at the beat-to-beat activity of the heart using heart rate variability analysis.
- Scientists can tell how you’re feeling by measuring your heartbeat patterns
- They don’t just look at how fast your heart beats, but at the tiny changes between each beat
- These patterns are like a code that reveals your emotional state
- Your heart rhythm reflects your emotions with 75% accuracy
- Different emotions create different heart rhythm patterns
- Stress creates chaotic, irregular patterns
- Positive emotions create smooth, coherent patterns
- This proves your heart and emotions are directly connected
- Your emotional state immediately shows up in your heart rhythm
- The heart is constantly communicating your emotional state to the rest of your body
Elevated Emotions Create Coherent Heart Patterns (p. 154):
Highlight 6 - Page 154
During the 1990s, researchers at HMI discovered that when people focused on their hearts and evoked elevated emotions such as appreciation, joy, gratitude, and compassion, those feelings could be observed as coherent patterns in the heart’s rhythms. The opposite was true of stressful feelings, which caused the heart rhythms to be incoherent and to appear jagged and irregular.
- When you feel positive emotions, your heart rhythm becomes smooth and organized
- Emotions like gratitude, joy, and compassion create regular, coherent heart patterns
- You have to intentionally focus on your heart and generate these feelings
- Negative emotions make your heart rhythm chaotic and messy
- Stress, anger, and frustration create irregular, jagged heart patterns
- These patterns look completely different from positive emotional states
- You can see the difference in heart rhythm patterns on monitoring equipment
- Positive emotions create beautiful, wave-like patterns
- Negative emotions create erratic, unpredictable patterns
- This gives us scientific proof of how emotions affect our physiology
Sustaining Elevated Emotions Changes Gene Expression (p. 164):
Highlight 7 - Page 164
If you sustain these elevated emotions on a daily basis, eventually your body, in its innate intelligence, begins to make relative genetic changes in the way I described earlier. That’s because the body believes that the emotion you are embracing is coming from an experience in your environment.
- When you feel good emotions every day, your body starts changing your genes
- Your body thinks these good feelings are coming from real positive experiences
- It begins to change which genes are turned on or off to match these feelings
- Your body can’t tell the difference between a real experience and an imagined one
- If you consistently feel gratitude, your body thinks good things are happening to you
- It starts making genetic changes as if you’re actually living in a better environment
- Daily practice of positive emotions creates lasting biological changes
- You don’t need external circumstances to change first
- By changing your internal emotional state, you change your biology
- This can improve your health and well-being from the inside out
Heart as Instrument of Perception (p. 166):
Highlight 8 - Page 166
The brain may think, but when you turn your heart into an instrument of perception, it knows.
- Your brain and heart work in completely different ways
- The brain processes information by thinking, analyzing, and figuring things out
- The heart can directly perceive or “know” things without having to think about them
- You can train your heart to become a sensing device
- Instead of just pumping blood, your heart can become a tool for gaining insight
- When you focus on your heart, it can pick up information that your brain might miss
- Heart-based knowing is different from brain-based thinking
- Brain thinking is slow, step-by-step, and analytical
- Heart knowing is instant, direct, and intuitive
- Both are valuable, but heart knowing gives you access to deeper wisdom
Energy Centers & Breathing Techniques
Moving Energy from Body to Brain (p. 26):
Highlight 1 - Page 26
It is this process—related to living in survival mode—that causes most of the creative energy to be rooted in the body. Therefore, we must have a way to pull that energy out of the body and deliver it back to the brain, where it will be available for a higher purpose than mere survival.
- When you’re in survival mode, your creative energy gets stuck in your body
- Your body uses this energy to deal with stress, problems, and basic survival needs
- This leaves less energy available for creativity, healing, and growth
- You need to move this energy from your body back up to your brain
- The brain needs energy to create new ideas and possibilities
- When energy is trapped in the body dealing with survival, you can’t access higher potentials
- Moving energy upward allows you to use it for higher purposes
- Instead of just surviving, you can use your energy for creativity and transformation
- This shift from survival mode to creative mode is essential for personal growth
Breath Technique for Moving Energy (p. 124):
Highlight 2 - Page 124
The breath does just that—it gives us a way to pull the mind out of the body and to move all that stored energy from the first three centers up the spine to the brain, restoring the electromagnetic field surrounding the body.
- Breathing is a tool for moving energy through your body
- Special breathing techniques can pull your awareness out of your body
- The breath helps move energy from your lower energy centers up to your brain
- Energy gets stored in your lower three energy centers
- These centers are related to survival, sexuality, and personal power
- Often energy gets stuck there when dealing with stress and daily problems
- Moving energy upward restores your energy field
- When energy flows freely up your spine, it strengthens the electromagnetic field around your body
- This helps you feel more energized and connected to higher consciousness
Muscle Contractions Move Spinal Fluid (p. 125):
Highlight 3 - Page 125
So think about what would happen if you contracted the intrinsic muscles of your perineum (your pelvic floor, the same muscles you use for intercourse and elimination) and you locked them down, and then while they were locked down, you next contracted the muscles of your lower abdomen, locking those muscles down, and then you did the same with the muscles of your upper abdomen. If you kept squeezing and contracting those muscles in your first three energy centers by contracting your core muscles, that fluid in your central nervous system would move up.
- You can use muscle contractions to move spinal fluid upward
- Start by contracting your pelvic floor muscles (the ones you use for bathroom functions)
- Then contract your lower belly muscles while keeping the pelvic floor tight
- Finally contract your upper belly muscles while keeping everything below locked
- This creates pressure that pushes spinal fluid up your spine
- The spinal fluid carries nutrients and energy to your brain
- By contracting these core muscles in sequence, you pump this fluid upward
- This technique helps move energy from your lower centers to your brain
- It’s like squeezing a tube of toothpaste from the bottom to push the contents up
- This physical action supports the energetic movement you’re trying to create
Natural Breathing Pumps Spinal Fluid (p. 125):
Highlight 4 - Page 125
Every time you inhale, that sacrum bone flexes back slightly, and every time you exhale it flexes forward just a little bit. This is an extremely subtle movement—too subtle for you to notice, even if you try. But it happens. And at the same time you inhale, the sutures of your skull (the joints between the individual plates of your skull, which fit together like pieces of a puzzle and give the skull a degree of flexibility) open up just slightly, and as you exhale, they close back up.
- Your body naturally pumps spinal fluid just by breathing normally
- When you breathe in, the bone at the base of your spine (sacrum) moves slightly backward
- When you breathe out, it moves slightly forward
- This movement is so small you can’t feel it, but it happens with every breath
- Your skull also moves with your breathing
- The bones of your skull are connected by joints that can move slightly
- When you breathe in, these joints open a tiny bit
- When you breathe out, they close back down
- This natural breathing creates a pumping action
- The movement of your sacrum and skull joints creates waves in your spinal fluid
- This slowly pumps the fluid from the base of your spine up to your brain
- It takes about 12 hours for the fluid to make a complete circuit, flushing your brain twice daily
Quantum Physics & Consciousness
The Unified Field Beyond Senses (p. 79):
Highlight 1 - Page 79
The quantum (or unified) field is an invisible field of energy and information—or you could say a field of intelligence or consciousness—that exists beyond space and time. Nothing physical or material exists there. It’s beyond anything you can perceive with your senses.
- There’s an invisible field of energy that connects everything
- This field exists everywhere but you can’t see, hear, touch, taste, or smell it
- It’s pure energy and information, not physical matter
- Scientists call this the quantum field or unified field
- This field exists outside of normal space and time
- It’s not located in any particular place
- It doesn’t follow the normal rules of physics that we experience in everyday life
- You can’t access it through your normal five senses
- The field is made of consciousness and intelligence
- It’s not just empty space - it contains information and awareness
- This field is what connects all things in the universe
- It’s the source from which all physical reality emerges
Accessing the Quantum Through Awareness (p. 80):
Highlight 2 - Page 80
The only way you can exist in the quantum is as an awareness. Or better said, the only way you can experience this realm is with your awareness—not your senses. And since consciousness is awareness, and awareness is paying attention and noticing, once you are beyond the world of the senses, when you pay attention to the energy of the quantum field, your consciousness is connecting to greater levels of frequency and information.
- You can only enter the quantum field through pure awareness
- Your physical senses can’t detect this field
- You have to use your consciousness, not your eyes, ears, or other senses
- It’s like tuning into a radio station that only your awareness can pick up
- Consciousness is simply paying attention
- Being aware means noticing what’s happening
- When you focus your attention beyond the physical world, you can connect to this field
- The quantum field contains information and frequencies
- When you tune in with your consciousness, you can access higher levels of information
- This information exists as frequencies or vibrations
- The more you practice focusing your awareness, the more you can access
Electrons Appear Through Observation (p. 215):
Highlight 3 - Page 215
According to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, we never know where the electron is going to appear in the electron cloud, yet from nothing comes something. This is why quantum physics is so exciting and unpredictable: The electron is not always physical matter; rather, it exists as the energy or as the probability of a wave. It is only through the act of observation by an observer that it appears.
- In quantum physics, particles don’t have fixed locations until someone observes them
- Electrons exist as waves of possibility until someone looks for them
- When a conscious observer looks, the wave of possibility becomes a physical particle
- You can never predict exactly where the particle will appear
- This shows that consciousness affects physical reality
- The act of observing actually creates the particle
- Without an observer, there’s only energy and possibility
- This means mind and matter are connected at the quantum level
- Everything starts as invisible potential before becoming physical
- What we see as solid matter is actually mostly empty space and energy
- Physical reality emerges from an invisible field of possibilities
- Consciousness plays a role in turning possibility into reality
Two Different Worlds: Newtonian vs Quantum (p. 216):
Highlight 4 - Page 216
If the Newtonian world is a material world defined by the senses, in the quantum world the opposite is true. This is an immaterial world defined by non-sense; in other words, there’s nothing sensory-based here, and there is no matter. Whereas the Newtonian world is based on predictable knowns such as matter, particles, people, places, things, objects, and time, this is an unpredictable dimension made up of light, frequency, information, vibration, energy, and consciousness.
- We live in two different worlds at the same time
- The Newtonian world is the physical reality we experience with our senses
- The quantum world is an invisible realm of pure energy and possibility
- The physical world is predictable and material
- You can see, touch, and measure everything in this world
- It follows predictable laws and patterns
- It includes all the people, places, and things in your daily life
- The quantum world is invisible and made of energy
- It consists of light, vibration, frequency, and consciousness
- It’s unpredictable and doesn’t follow normal physical laws
- You can’t access it through your five senses
- This is where infinite possibilities exist before they become physical reality
Dimensional Beings Living Dimensional Lives (p. 53):
Highlight 5 - Page 53
When the mystery of the self is unveiled, we can wake up to the understanding that we are not linear beings living a linear life but instead dimensional beings living dimensional lives. The beauty behind the infinite probabilities that await us is that the only way we can change those futures is to change ourselves in the present infinite moment.
- You’re not limited to one timeline or linear experience
- Most people think life is a straight line from past to future
- In reality, you exist in multiple dimensions with infinite possibilities
- You’re a multidimensional being capable of accessing different potential realities
- Infinite possibilities exist for your future
- There are countless potential futures available to you
- These exist as probabilities waiting to be activated
- The future is not fixed - it’s fluid and changeable
- You change your future by changing yourself in the present moment
- The present moment is where you have power to influence your future
- By changing your thoughts, emotions, and energy in the now, you select which future becomes real
- This requires understanding that you’re not a victim of circumstances but a creator of reality
Pineal Gland & Mystical Experiences
Pineal Gland Contains Crystals (p. 232):
Highlight 1 - Page 232
The pineal gland is a neuroendocrine transducer secreting melatonin responsible for physiological circadian rhythm control. A new form of bio-mineralization has been studied in the human pineal gland and consists of small crystals that are less than 20 microns in length. These crystals are responsible for electromechanical, biological transduction mechanism in the pineal gland due to the structure and piezoelectric properties.
- The pineal gland is a small organ in your brain that controls your sleep cycles
- It makes melatonin, the hormone that makes you sleepy at night
- It helps regulate your body’s internal clock
- The pineal gland contains tiny crystals
- These crystals are smaller than you can see with your naked eye
- They’re made of minerals that naturally form in the pineal gland
- These crystals can convert mechanical pressure into electrical energy
- This property is called piezoelectric effect
- When pressure is applied to these crystals, they generate electrical signals
- This turns the pineal gland into a kind of biological antenna
Pineal Gland as Antenna and Transducer (p. 233):
Highlight 2 - Page 233
Like an antenna, the pineal gland has the capacity to become electrically activated and generate electromagnetic fields that can tune in to information. That’s point number one. In addition, in the same way an antenna pulsates a rhythm or frequency to match the frequency of an incoming signal, the pineal gland receives information carried on invisible electromagnetic fields.
- The pineal gland works like a radio antenna in your head
- It can generate electrical activity and electromagnetic fields
- These fields allow it to tune into information from outside your body
- Just like a radio antenna picks up radio waves, the pineal picks up electromagnetic information
- The pineal gland can match frequencies to receive information
- It pulsates at specific rhythms to match incoming signals
- When it matches the right frequency, it can receive information carried on electromagnetic fields
- This information comes from invisible fields that surround us
- The pineal gland can both send and receive signals
- It doesn’t just receive information - it can also broadcast
- This makes it a two-way communication device
- It acts as your biological connection to non-physical realms of information
DMT and Mystical Experiences (p. 241):
Highlight 3 - Page 241
Alter melatonin one more time and you produce the chemical dimethyltryptamine (DMT), one of the most powerful hallucinogenic substances known to man. This is the same chemical found in ayahuasca, a traditional spiritual plant medicine used in ceremonies by the indigenous people of the Amazon. DMT’s primary active ingredient is said to create spiritual visions and profound insights into the mystery of the self.
- The pineal gland can produce DMT, a powerful consciousness-altering chemical
- DMT is made by modifying melatonin, the sleep hormone
- This is one of the most potent substances for creating mystical experiences
- Your brain can naturally produce this chemical under certain conditions
- DMT is the same chemical found in sacred plant medicines
- Amazon shamans have used ayahuasca containing DMT for thousands of years
- These plant medicines are used in spiritual ceremonies for healing and insight
- Your pineal gland can produce the same chemical naturally
- DMT creates profound spiritual experiences
- People report visions, encounters with spiritual beings, and deep insights
- It can create experiences of traveling to other dimensions
- These experiences often provide profound understanding about the nature of reality and consciousness
- When the pineal gland produces DMT naturally, you get the full spectrum of chemicals
- This is different from taking external DMT, which only provides one chemical
- The natural process includes other supporting chemicals that enhance the experience
Daily Practice at 4 AM (p. 50):
Highlight 4 - Page 50
Since melatonin levels are the highest between 1:00 A.M. and 4:00 A.M., and the mystical chemical metabolites of melatonin are the very substrates responsible for creating a lucid event, I decided I would practice my inner work at 4 every morning.
- Melatonin is highest in the early morning hours
- Between 1 AM and 4 AM, your brain produces the most melatonin
- Melatonin creates chemicals that can produce mystical experiences
- These chemicals are the raw materials for transcendent states of consciousness
- 4 AM is the optimal time for inner work and meditation
- Your brain chemistry is naturally set up for mystical experiences at this time
- The high melatonin levels make it easier to access altered states
- This is when your pineal gland is most active and receptive
- Early morning practice takes advantage of natural brain chemistry
- Instead of fighting against your biology, you work with it
- The natural chemical state supports deeper meditation and spiritual experiences
- This timing can enhance the effectiveness of consciousness-expanding practices
Programming & Subconscious Influence
Hypnosis and Subconscious Programming (p. 173):
Highlight 1 - Page 173
Years ago, I learned in my training that by definition, hypnosis is a disorientation of the inhibitory processes of the conscious mind, bypassing the analytical mind so that one becomes highly responsive to suggestions and information in the subconscious mind. As the conscious mind is busy and preoccupied trying to figure things out, the subconscious mind takes it all in without discretion.
- Hypnosis works by confusing your conscious mind
- When your analytical mind is busy or disoriented, it can’t filter information
- This opens a direct pathway to your subconscious mind
- Your subconscious mind accepts suggestions without questioning them
- Your conscious mind normally acts as a filter
- It analyzes and evaluates information before accepting it
- When this filter is bypassed, information goes directly to the subconscious
- The subconscious stores this information as if it were true
- The subconscious mind accepts everything without discrimination
- It doesn’t judge whether information is true or false, good or bad
- Whatever gets past the conscious mind’s filter becomes part of your programming
- This is why hypnosis can be used to install new beliefs and behaviors
Evening Programming Through Media (p. 175):
Highlight 2 - Page 175
For the advertisers to really get their money’s worth in this commercial endeavor, it’s best for them to repeatedly run the commercials late in the evening when we are most suggestible to programming. Why? Because melatonin levels rise in response to darkness, and melatonin causes our brain waves to slow down in preparation for sleeping and dreaming.
- You’re most vulnerable to programming in the evening
- Advertisers deliberately run commercials late at night when your defenses are down
- Your brain naturally becomes more suggestible as it prepares for sleep
- Melatonin makes you more susceptible to suggestion
- As it gets dark, your brain produces melatonin to make you sleepy
- Melatonin slows down your brain waves
- Slower brain waves mean less analytical thinking and more openness to suggestions
- Your brain waves change throughout the day
- During the day, you’re in beta brain waves (alert and analytical)
- In the evening, you move through alpha and theta (relaxed and suggestible)
- At night, you reach delta (deep sleep)
- The transition periods (alpha and theta) are when you’re most programmable
Programming Through Fear and Lack (p. 176):
Highlight 3 - Page 176
For years, I’ve been thinking about how we’re all constantly programmed into self-limited beliefs; that is, believing that we need something outside of us to change how we feel inside of us. This is, after all, what advertising is all about—the never-ending dependence on, and consumption of, external sources to make us feel happy or better.
- Society programs you to believe you need external things to be happy
- Advertising constantly tells you that happiness comes from buying things
- This creates a belief that you’re incomplete without external products or experiences
- You’re taught to depend on outside sources for your internal well-being
- This programming keeps you in a state of lack and dependence
- You’re made to feel like something is always missing from your life
- This drives endless consumption as you try to fill the emptiness
- The message is that you’re not enough as you are
- This belief system keeps you disconnected from your own power
- When you believe happiness comes from outside, you give away your power
- You become dependent on circumstances, people, and things to feel good
- This prevents you from discovering that you can create positive states from within
Meditation & Altered States
Mind Movies and Alpha/Theta States (p. 181):
Highlight 1 - Page 181
In our advanced workshops, our students watch the kaleidoscope video before they watch their Mind Movies because it helps them induce and sustain alpha- and theta-trance states with their eyes open, opening the doorway between the conscious and subconscious mind. Throughout their meditation while in an alpha or theta brain-wave states, they are more suggestible to their own reprogramming process.
- Special visual techniques can put you in trance states with your eyes open
- Kaleidoscope videos help shift your brain waves to alpha and theta states
- These brain wave states open the door between conscious and subconscious mind
- You can stay visually engaged while accessing deeper states of consciousness
- Alpha and theta brain waves make you more suggestible
- In these states, you can reprogram yourself more easily
- Your conscious mind’s resistance is lowered
- New information can be installed directly into your subconscious
- Mind Movies work better when you’re in these altered states
- Mind Movies are videos of your desired future that you watch repeatedly
- When you’re in alpha/theta states while watching, the images bypass your analytical mind
- This helps you believe in and embody your desired future more effectively
Mind Movies as 21st Century Vision Boards (p. 186):
Highlight 2 - Page 186
You can think of a Mind Movie as a 21st-century version of a vision board (a tool used to clarify, focus on, and maintain specific life goals), except it’s dynamic instead of static. When used with the kaleidoscope, the Mind Movie technology is a great tool to help you bring your future to life by repeatedly experiencing it.
- Mind Movies are like vision boards but with movement and sound
- Traditional vision boards use static images of your goals
- Mind Movies add motion, music, and video to make the experience more engaging
- The dynamic nature makes the visualization more real and impactful
- Repetition helps you experience your future as if it’s real
- By watching your Mind Movie regularly, you train your brain to believe this future is possible
- The more you see and feel your desired future, the more real it becomes to your subconscious
- This helps you align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with your goals
- The kaleidoscope technique enhances the effectiveness
- Watching kaleidoscope patterns first puts you in the right brain state
- This makes you more receptive to the programming in your Mind Movie
- The combination creates a powerful tool for personal transformation
Open Focus Shifts Brain Waves (p. 101):
Highlight 3 - Page 101
In the 1970s, Les Fehmi, Ph.D., director of the Princeton Biofeedback Centre in Princeton, New Jersey, discovered how this shift in attention from narrow to open focus changes brain waves. Fehmi, a pioneer in attention and biofeedback, was trying to find a method for teaching people how to move their brain waves from beta (conscious thought) to alpha (relaxed and creative). The most effective way to make the shift, he discovered, was by directing people to become aware of space or nothingness—adopting what he called open focus.
- There are different ways to focus your attention
- Narrow focus is concentrated attention on specific things
- Open focus is awareness of space and nothingness
- Open focus is more effective for changing brain wave states
- Open focus shifts you from beta to alpha brain waves
- Beta brain waves are associated with normal conscious thinking
- Alpha brain waves are more relaxed, creative, and receptive
- By focusing on space instead of objects, you naturally shift brain states
- Focusing on nothingness is a powerful meditation technique
- Instead of concentrating on something specific, you become aware of empty space
- This automatically relaxes your mind and opens you to deeper states
- It’s a simple but effective way to access altered consciousness
Heart Coherence Meditation (p. 168):
Highlight 4 - Page 168
This meditation is based on the Heart Lock-In Technique developed by HMI. Close your eyes, allow your body to relax, and bring your attention to your heart. Start breathing in and out from the heart center, and continue to do this more slowly and deeply. When your mind wanders, keep returning your attention and awareness to your chest, your heart, and your breath.
- Heart-centered meditation starts with focusing on your heart
- Close your eyes and relax your body
- Bring your attention to the area of your heart behind your breastbone
- Keep your focus on this area throughout the meditation
- Breathe through your heart center
- Imagine breathing in and out through your heart instead of your nose or mouth
- Make your breathing slower and deeper than normal
- This helps activate the heart’s electromagnetic field
- When your mind wanders, gently return to the heart
- It’s normal for your mind to drift during meditation
- Simply notice when this happens and bring your attention back to your heart
- Focus on your chest, your heart, and your breath
- Add elevated emotions and intentions
- Once you’re focused on your heart, bring up positive emotions like gratitude or joy
- Feel these emotions in your chest area
- Then combine these feelings with clear intentions for what you want to create
- Send this energy out beyond your body while continuing to breathe through your heart
Personal Transformation & Case Studies
Anna’s Self-healing story (p. 37):
Highlight 1 - Page 37
That night, filled with inspiration, Anna thought, If I created the life I have now, including my paralysis, my depression, my weakened immune system, my ulcerations, and even my cancer, maybe I can uncreate everything with the same passion I created it with. And with that potent new understanding, Anna decided to heal herself.
- Anna realized she had unconsciously created her illness
- She understood that her thoughts, emotions, and beliefs had contributed to her physical problems
- This included serious conditions like paralysis, depression, immune problems, and cancer
- If she created these problems unconsciously, she could uncreate them consciously
- The same energy used to create illness can be used to create health
- Whatever passion and intensity went into creating the problems could be redirected
- Instead of using her mental and emotional energy destructively, she could use it constructively
- This required the same level of commitment and intensity, but in the opposite direction
- Taking responsibility opened the door to healing
- By accepting that she played a role in creating her condition, she regained her power
- This shifted her from victim to creator
- It gave her hope that she could change her situation through her own efforts
Anna’s method: changing internal state (p. 38):
Highlight 2 - Page 38
Anna knew from attending my workshops that she had to move her autonomic nervous system back into balance because the ANS controls all the automatic functions that happen beyond the brain’s conscious awareness—digestion, absorption, blood sugar levels, body temperature, hormonal secretions, heart rate, and so on. The only way she could slip into the operating system and affect the ANS was to change her internal state on a regular basis.
- The autonomic nervous system controls all your automatic body functions
- This includes digestion, blood sugar, body temperature, hormones, and heart rate
- These functions happen automatically without you having to think about them
- When this system is out of balance, it affects your entire health
- Anna had to rebalance her autonomic nervous system to heal
- Chronic stress and negative emotions had thrown her system out of balance
- To heal, she needed to restore proper function to these automatic processes
- This required getting out of survival mode and into a state of restoration
- You can influence your autonomic nervous system by changing your internal state
- Even though these functions are automatic, you can affect them indirectly
- By regularly practicing elevated emotional states, you can retrain your nervous system
- This requires consistent daily practice to create lasting changes
Daniel’s electromagnetic hypersensitivity (p. 140):
Highlight 3 - Page 140
Then Daniel started seeing holistic doctors who suspected he had developed a rare condition called electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS). While the existence of EHS is still controversial in the medical community, the World Health Organization recognizes the condition. The mechanism of EHS remains unknown, but when you consider that the brain is 78 percent water and that water containing minerals (such as those commonly found in the body, including calcium and magnesium) conducts electricity, you can see that for EHS-sensitive people, that natural electromagnetic charge might somehow become amplified around things that signal and emit electromagnetic radiation.
- Some people become hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields
- This condition is called electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS)
- People with EHS feel physical symptoms when exposed to WiFi, cell phones, and other electronic devices
- The World Health Organization recognizes this as a real condition, though doctors debate it
- The human body naturally conducts electricity
- Your brain is 78% water, and water with minerals conducts electricity
- Your body contains calcium, magnesium, and other minerals that enhance electrical conductivity
- This makes your body naturally responsive to electromagnetic fields
- EHS may be an amplification of normal electromagnetic sensitivity
- Everyone’s body responds to electromagnetic fields to some degree
- In EHS-sensitive people, this natural response becomes exaggerated
- Electronic devices that emit electromagnetic radiation can trigger physical symptoms
- This shows how sensitive the human energy system can be to external electromagnetic influences
Witnessing the impossible (p. 16):
Highlight 4 - Page 16
The key to the yogi’s teaching is this: when we experience for ourselves, or witness in another person, something that we’ve once believed to be impossible, we are freed in our beliefs to transcend those limitations in our own lives.
- Seeing impossible things happen breaks your limiting beliefs
- When you witness something you thought was impossible, it changes what you believe is possible
- This could be seeing someone heal from an “incurable” disease or perform extraordinary feats
- Your brain has to update its model of reality when confronted with new evidence
- Other people’s breakthroughs give you permission to have your own
- Seeing someone else transcend limitations shows you that limitations can be transcended
- Their success becomes proof that extraordinary things are possible
- This opens your mind to possibilities you previously dismissed
- Breaking one limitation opens the door to breaking others
- Once you realize that some “impossible” things are actually possible, you question other limitations
- This creates a cascade effect where you begin to challenge more beliefs about what’s possible
- Your entire worldview can shift from limited to unlimited thinking

In 1954, Schumann and H. L. König confirmed Schumann’s hypothesis by detecting resonances at a main frequency of 7.83 Hz; thus the “Schumann resonance” was established by measuring global electromagnetic resonances generated and excited by lightning discharges in the ionosphere. You can think of this frequency as a tuning fork for life.
- The Earth has its own electromagnetic heartbeat at 7.83 Hz
- This frequency is called the Schumann resonance
- It’s created by lightning strikes that happen around the world
- These lightning discharges create electromagnetic waves that circle the globe
- This frequency acts like a tuning fork for all life on Earth
- All living things have evolved with this background frequency
- It influences biological processes in humans and animals
- This frequency helps synchronize life processes with the Earth’s natural rhythms
- Scientists discovered and measured this frequency in 1954
- The resonance happens in the space between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere
- Lightning constantly generates this frequency around the clock
- This creates a stable electromagnetic environment that life depends on
Schumann resonance and brain states (p. 259):
Highlight 2 - Page 259
Whether by coincidence or not, 7.83 Hz also happens to be a very powerful frequency used with brain-wave entrainment, as it is associated with low levels of alpha and the upper range of theta brain-wave states. It is this range of brain waves that allows us to get beyond the analytical mind and into the subconscious. Thus this frequency has also been associated with high levels of suggestibility, meditation, increased human growth hormone levels, and increased cerebral blood-flow levels.
- Earth’s natural frequency matches beneficial brain wave states
- 7.83 Hz corresponds to alpha and theta brain waves
- These are the brain states associated with relaxation, creativity, and heightened awareness
- It may not be a coincidence that Earth’s frequency matches optimal human brain states
- This frequency helps you access deeper consciousness
- Alpha and theta brain waves allow you to bypass analytical thinking
- In these states, you can access your subconscious mind more easily
- This is the brain state used for meditation and self-programming
- 7.83 Hz has many beneficial effects on the body
- It increases suggestibility, making positive change easier
- It enhances meditation and spiritual practices
- It boosts human growth hormone production
- It increases blood flow to the brain
- Being in nature may help synchronize your brain with Earth’s frequency
- Getting away from city electromagnetic pollution allows you to tune into natural frequencies
- This may explain why spending time in nature feels so calming and restorative
Global coherence monitoring (p. 260):
Highlight 3 - Page 260
To further their research and test this hypothesis, using state-of-the-art sensors located in various locations around the globe, the HeartMath Institute created the Global Coherence Monitoring System (GCMS) to observe changes in the Earth’s magnetic field. Designed to measure global coherence, the GCMS uses a system of highly sensitive magnetometers to continuously measure magnetic signals that occur in the same range as human physiological frequencies, including our brain and cardiovascular systems.
- Scientists are monitoring Earth’s electromagnetic field globally
- The HeartMath Institute has sensors placed around the world
- These sensors continuously measure changes in Earth’s magnetic field
- The system is called the Global Coherence Monitoring System (GCMS)
- They’re specifically looking at frequencies that match human biology
- The magnetic signals they measure are in the same range as human brain waves
- They also monitor frequencies that match human heart rhythms
- This suggests a connection between Earth’s electromagnetic field and human physiology
- The research explores how Earth’s field affects human consciousness
- Changes in Earth’s magnetic field may influence human behavior and consciousness
- Solar storms and other space weather events might affect human psychology
- Major global events with strong emotional components might show up in Earth’s magnetic field
- This research suggests humans and Earth share an electromagnetic connection
- We may be more connected to our planet’s energy field than previously thought
- Global human consciousness might influence Earth’s electromagnetic field
- Earth’s electromagnetic changes might influence collective human consciousness
