Usually triggered by hepatitis viruses

Type A

• mainly spread through contaminated food/water

Type B

• blood bassed (?) and transmitted sexually

Type C

• leads to chronic infection (cirhosis)
• no vaccine
• usually transmitted via blood through shared needles

Type D

• can only occur in someone with hepatitis B

Type E

• able to spread from animals to humans
• mainly from pork
